MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS

WHO SHOULD ATTEND:

All Officers, Marine/Technical Superintendents

SCOPE:

Seafarers face unique working conditions which places them under increased danger and stress with fewer opportunities for relief and support than they would find on land. This course aims to explore and raise awareness on what seafarers can do to improve their mental health wellbeing, daily relief using practical tools and strategies, and be able to recognize signs of mental health difficulties and know how to assist. Mostly an interactive workshop oriented course, trainees are urged to share experiences, concerns
and vulnerabilities about mental health issues and life on board.
