Skippers, Crew wishing to begin career within Deck or Engine Dept of Yachts and/or Small Commercial Vessels
SCOPE:
To provide knowledge and skills for a small commercial vessel crew member wishing to follow an engineering career but with no formal marine engineering qualifications. The objective of this course is to provide trainees with basic theoretical and practical knowledge of diesel engines and systems to undertake the role of Yacht Engineer or Dual Deckhand / Engineer onboard small commercial vessels.
